Sugar Bomb (Asheville, NC)

Sugar Bomb is an instrumental groove jazz trio formed in 2023 in Asheville, North Carolina. Known for their dynamic range and energetic performances, they're often described as modern, playful, and refreshing. Featuring Jacob Bruner (keyboards), Eli Kahn (bass/guitar), and Joe Enright (drums), the trio draws inspiration from jazz, classical, fusion, hip-hop, and electronic music. While rooted in improvisation, Sugar Bomb creates a genre-defying sound that's both adventurous and accessible.

Harmlodics (Detroit, MI)

Formed in 2018 by Benjamin Green, Harmolodics pays tribute to the visionary improviser Ornette Coleman while forging an exciting path of their own. Blending electronics, electroacoustic manipulation, improvisation, powerful grooves, and expansive sonic landscapes, the trio continually pushes the boundaries of what a three-piece ensemble can be. Their performances are driven by emotion, spontaneity, and a fearless spirit of musical exploration.
