Our sauna along the portage offers the perfect way to ground yourself before the buzz of the day - step into the warmth, breathe deeply, and let your body and mind reset. Whether you’re loosening up your muscles for a run, easing into a weekend paddle, or just craving a quiet pause, a sauna at Takka sets the tone.
Sessions are easy to secure ahead of time, and you’ll leave refreshed, connected, and ready to savor whatever’s next.
Join us every Wednesday at 7:00 PM for Trivia Night at Small Craft. A free, fun, and friendly competition hosted by Kenna Sanford. Play in teams of 2–6 (or join one when you arrive) and take on three rounds of questions, with themes that change weekly.

Brian and Rebecca’s adventure has carried them from a cozy 12-foot motorhome to their tiny home in Germfask, MI—and now, to the buoyard stage at Small Craft. Along the way, their love for music has grown from late-night bluegrass jam sessions and a vintage bass into a shared passion that’s touched audiences across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
With more than 60 shows performed in just two seasons, this duo brings heartfelt harmonies, warmth, and the spirit of their travels to every performance. Their story is one of resilience, discovery, and the simple joy of making music together.

Hailing from Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula, the band features a rotating cast of characters that each bring their own unique flavors to cook up a cosmic chili guaranteed to satisfy anyone's musical appetite. Sometimes savory and sometimes sweet, even the band isn't sure what each batch will present, this dish is cooked to order and made On The Spot.

Yes, you read that right, Rick Slade the Cat is turning 21, and we’re throwing a party worthy of his nine lives. Join us at Small Craft for an all-day celebration of Stephanie and Tim’s legendary feline, complete with good vibes, cold beer, and plenty of laughs.
This birthday isn’t just about Rick’s milestone, it’s also a chance to give back. We’ll be donating $1 from every pint of one of our draft beers (beer tbd) to support KSNAG, helping more cats (and their humans) find the love and care they deserve.

BUOYARD BAGS & GAME NIGHT
Join us for Bouyard Bags & Game Night at Small Craft, happening Monday, Aug 18, at 6 PM and going until close. Whether you’re feeling competitive or just want to hang out, we’ve got something for everyone.
Board games will be played under the pavilion, with a wide selection of games and cards supplied by KC Bonkers — and if you bring your Small Craft receipt, you’ll get 15% off retail at their shop!
Outside in the bouyard next to the pavilion, we’ll be hosting the Bouyard Bags Tournament. It’s free to join, but make sure to register your team in advance to participate.
Come solo or with a crew — play, compete, or just chill. It’s the perfect way to spend your evening at Small Craft.

This event takes place on Sunday, August 17th and Sunday, September 14th, starting at 1:00 PM. It’s free and open to all, with no signup required, just bring your own mat and show up! If it rains, we’ll meet under the pavilion.
Tips for the instructor are appreciated!
Bring a friend, move your body, and stay for a well-earned pint or some sauna time. Let’s flow!
If you're planning to enjoy a post-flow sauna session, booking ahead with Takka Saunas is recommended (reserve before 2:30 PM on the day of).
